SchoolVID is a cloud based web tool that allows schools to manage and share free, purchased and user generated video in a moderated school environment. Video is ingested into SchoolVID through its browser based software, or via the app. Furthermore, with SchoolVID you can trim and clip videos to the precise piece required, make videos into topic-based playlists and share appropriately with students, teachers and parents. -- How does the app help me use SchoolVID? -- You can browse and manage your video using your desktop or mobile web browser, however the SchoolVID app is the fastest and easiest way to upload media to your school s cloud. Manage the media already stored on your devices. Don t let images and videos sit unused on iPads, upload them to your SchoolVID cloud with only 3 button presses. Use the app to capture new video, pictures, and audio and once you are finished it will upload directly to the cloud. Add names, metadata, assign to projects, to make the content searchable and share-able. -- How do I organise the videos I upload? -- The metadata attached to your video is incredibly important when it comes to storage and organisation, and you have full control over it. Simply enter the name of the video, or create an exhaustive list of location, participants, camera operator, objectives, outcomes, observations etc. It s up to you what kind of information, and how much detail you add, but all of it is fully searchable and will help you organise the videos on your SchoolVID ecosystem. Projects are a powerful tool for organising and distributing your videos throughout your school. Create a project for a specific event, research topic or fieldtrip, and ask participants to upload videos directly to it. The SchoolVID Upload app allows you to upload media directly into a project folder, making them incredibly easy to locate and share with relevant users. -- How safe are my uploads? -- Any videos, image or audio you upload to SchoolVID using the app are fully encrypted. As it's a school moderated system, the school can set up it's own permissions for use across, staff, teachers, pupils and parents. -- Do I need to log in? -- Yes, SchoolVID uses Microsoft s 365 single sign on.
